ALMOST OLIVE
almost olive is an eclectic duo formed by jacqui armbruster (voice/guitar) and karl henry (cello/bass/voice). drawing from a variety of musical traditions and sewn together through intimate lyrics, the trio explores themes like identity, love, grief, and vulnerability through their catalog of original music that balances groove and heart.

notes on becoming: for amplified voice+viola and sinfonietta orchestra is a collaboration between jacqui and composer benjamin martin. jacqui wrote the text for this work, and it was premiered by jacqui (soloist) and the oberlin contemporary music ensemble in october 2021.

active from 2018 to 2022, the witherbees are a sweeheart jazz/folk quartet. their debut was called a “must have for your record collection” by cadence magazine.
